Mr. Elias Karagiannis is a graduate of the Department of Electrical Engineering of NTUA (1985) and holds an MBA (1990) and PhD (1994) from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, USA. He is currently Professor of Science, Technology, Innovation and Entrepreneurship in the Department of Management Information Systems & Technology at George Washington University, USA. He is also co-founder and director of Global and Entrepreneurial Finance Research Institute (GEFRI). He teaches strategic R&D courses in industry and academia, technology mapping, technology transfer and commercialization of technologies, technology policies, technological entrepreneurship and regional economic development. He published 16 books on science, technology, entrepreneurship and innovation and has many publications in reputable journals. He is Editor-in-Chief in 5 international journals and reviewer for more than 10 Journals. He works frequently as a consultant to business issues to companies and universities. He speaks fluent English, French and German.
