He graduated from the Department of Animal Science & Aquaculture of AUA. Next he pursued postgraduate studies at the Department of Anatomy and Developmental Biology at University College London and acquired M.Sc. in Neurological Sciences and a Ph.D. in Neuroscience, on the growth of cells of the enteric nervous system in chick embryos using the methods of microscopy, histochemistry, immunohistochemistry, organotypic cultures. Then he served as Lecturer (407/80) at the Laboratory of Histology - Embryology of Athens Medical School, and then as a lecturer and now as an Assistant Professor in the Laboratory of Anatomy and Physiology of Farm Animals in AUA. He is a member of the World Association of Veterinary Anatomy and Histology. He teaches Embryology, Anatomy and Physiology at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
